| Bosses Office Serves Up Razzle Dazzle and Good Cocktails |
| | It’s cute in there, y’all! (Nikki DaVaughn/City Cast Austin) |
| So, ya girl loves a good cocktail. But what I love more than a good cocktail is a cute atmosphere, comfy seating, and razzle dazzle when my drinks get to my table. Bosses Office has all of the above. It’s a neighborhood speakeasy-style cocktail bar and lounge located on Seventh Street, just east of the bridge at North Pleasant Valley Road. It’s tucked away a little bit, which just adds to the vibe.We went on a Thursday evening, and it was chill, dimly lit, and had great music playing. You get trail mix as soon as you sit, which was great because it was around dinner time! They don’t serve a full food menu, but will occasionally have small featured bites. | | We had two hot pockets — the barbecue brisket and the pepper jelly goat cheese ($11). The brisket one was filled with brisket from Jacoby’s Restaurant & Mercantile, pimento cheese and barbecue sauce. It was tangy and smokey, and the pastry is similar to an empanada. The pepper jelly goat cheese one was filled with jalapeño cheddar sausage, goat cheese, and house-made pepper jelly. It was creamy and a little salty with the tiniest kick on the back end. Both were DELICIOUS. | | | | The Anthony Bourdain comes with SMOKE! (Nikki DaVaughn/City Cast Austin) |
| The drinks at Bosses Office all have cute names like Miranda Priestly or Willy Wonka. I had an Anthony Bourdain ($19), a Bulleit-based play on an Old Fashioned. They brought it to the table encased in smoke and to serve it, they released the smoke and swirled it around! I’m telling y’all, the razzle dazzle works every time! Heads up to Old Fashioned drinkers: It’s not served in a traditional rocks glass, but it still packs a punch! It was sweet, boozy, smokey, and worth every penny. | | | Charles Darwin features a snake in the grass! (Nikki DaVaughn/City Cast Austin)
|
| Overall, Bosses office is a vibe! If you’re looking for good atmosphere, wonderful servers, and boozy cocktails without the hassle of downtown, this is the place for you! |
