| | Barton Springs Pool Repairs to Start Next Month | The city has announced plans to reconstruct and stabilize a century-old retaining wall at Barton Springs Pool. They say the work won't close the pool, but will require them to remove 37 trees impacting the wall's structural integrity. The work is set to begin on Sept. 8, and run through early next year. [Austin Parks and Recreation] | | Travis County Joins Suit Against Trump | Travis County has joined a federal lawsuit seeking to block President Donald Trump’s proposed changes to the mail-in ballot process. The new rule would make the U.S. Postal Service responsible for creating lists of eligible voters and delivering mail-in ballots only to those people. County Clerk Dyana Limon‑Mercado says that would result in "significant operational costs" and "create confusion, delay ballots, and make it harder for eligible voters to participate." This includes all state-required vaccines.
